Activities

Since 1946 we have been conducting research and development work contributing to the technological progress of agricultural machines and tractors, implementing the results of our research in practical agricultural applications, has been cooperating with other insitutes, universities and industrial organisations in Poland and abroad, has been designing and testing machines for new agricultural technogies as well as has been improving the quality of machines and their elements.

Scientific disciplines:
Machines construction, agricultural technology, exploitation, vibroacoustic, systems and machines diagnostics, processing of natural and artificial materials and researches in scopes of: ecology, energetics, transport means and computer methods, corrosion protection, safety and conformity assessment.

Main subjects of Insitute's works incude tests of:
decreasing of energy consumption in the exploitation of the machines, machines and devices for natural environment and health danger influence decreasing, harvesting waste decreasing, satelite technique for precise agriculture, computer construction analysis, selection optimalization of artificial and metal materials for construction and working elements of agricultural machines and devices, computer designing and diagnostics of machines and information system for purposes of agricultural technology including data banks concerning a classification of machines and agricultural and forestry devices. Testing Laboratory of Agricultural Machines accredited by Polish Accreditation Centre conducts tests of machines for purpose of conformity assessment in order to achieve conformity declaration WE (CE) and tests for voluntary certification for "B" safety mark.

Industrial Institute of Agricultural Engineering is a member of European Network for Testing of Agricultural Machines (ENTAM).

Secretariate of Technical Committee No. 16 for Standardization for Tractors and Agricultural and Forestry Machines conducts applications of european standards (EN) and international standards (ISO) to Polish Standards (PN).
